Nachtmystium's ground-breaking / game-changing 2004, six-song EP that changed the course of the bands history.
"Eulogy IV" is when Nachtmystium took a hard turn into the realm of psychedelia and rock influences. Between spacey synth interludes and soaring, pentatonic solos more akin to a Pink Floyd or Motorhead LP, this record was totally out of left field for 99% of the black metal world way back 20 years ago before people experimented like this at all.
The MCD was originally released on compact disc by now-defunct Swedish label, Total Holocaust Records (hail Hakan, wherever you are!). It was later reissued with four bonus tracks by Southern Lord Recordings, and then again later (back in its original 5 track form, remastered as well) on CD via Century Media in 2007 alongside the then brand-new, "Worldfall" MLP as precursors to 2008's Nachtmystium full-length Century Media debut ("Assassins: Black Meddle Pt. I) coming the following year in '08.
Exciting times these were for those of us who were there.
Blake Judd - Guitar / vocals Chris Black - Bass / synths Wargoat Obscurum - Drums
Guest guitar solos by Fistorius (Hank Bitchlover / ex-Superchrist)
